PROUD TO BE CANADIANS OF SWISS HERITAGE!

The members of the Yodel Club Heimattreu are living in the Calgary / Banff / Olds area in the Province of Alberta. We are all of Swiss heritage and are dedicated to uphold, practice and perform Swiss Yodel songs in traditional and authentic Swiss costumes. We are proud to maintain our Swiss traditions and showcase them to Canadian, US and International audiences.

The Yodel Club Heimattreu also features Alphorn players. Fritz Weidmann and Klaus Zahnd, both in the picture, and Sonja Weidmann are often part of the choir's performances.

Under the direction of our Artistic Choir Director (read the introduction) We practice Wednesdays from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Austrian Canadian Cultural Centre.

We enjoy singing and we would love to provide entertainment at your event! Your guests would be thrilled to hear traditional Swiss yodel songs performed in traditional Swiss dress. In addition to choir performances you may also be interested to hear our Swiss Alphorn group perform for you.

Meet our Artistic Choir Director

Humberto joined the Yodel Club Heimattreu as Artistic Choir Director at the beginning of 2017. Humberto has a degree in Symphony Orchestra Conducting from the University of Montreal, a Bachelor of Bassoon degree from the National School of Music in Mexico City  and a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad La Salle in Mexico City.
